TUM.ai Retreat

Where the community comes home.

June 13 & 14, 2026 · Bavarian Alps

The Story

It started with a group chat.

Winter 2020. Nobody had a plan. Just a few people who were curious about AI and didn't want to learn alone. They organized speakers, met up whenever they could, and somehow ended up hosting a Makeathon with OpenAI. That was the moment a group chat became the TUM.ai we know today.

That feeling carried. Six years and twelve batches later, we're still here. Not because someone had a masterplan, but because every batch inspired the next. Project by project. Late night by late night. What started as a WhatsApp group became a community that never stopped growing.

And now, for the first time ever, all of us are coming together. Every batch, one weekend, in the Bavarian Alps. At a place where history has been written before. This time, it's our turn.
